Students will develop and refine the skills that will enable them to perform jazz, blues, jazz-rock, soul, and other styles of music at the medium level of difficulty. Basic transposition, melodic dictation, and improvisation are included. Additional experiences may include athletic bands, solo/chamber performance, or musical theatre opportunities. In addition to performing music, creating and responding activities are included. Public performances during and after school may be required to meet course objectives. This course may be repeated unlimited times for credit. Prerequisite: Attainment of outcomes for Jazz Lab Band A, or permission of the instructor.
