NAF Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) POS (4 credits required)

The AOIT introduces students to the broad career opportunities in today's digital workforce and in the process equips them with the personal, analytical, technical, and communications skills they need to thrive.  Students may select from 3 pathway options: Computer Programming, Information Resource Design, and Networking.  This program of study is offered at Damascus, Gaithersburg, Seneca Valley, Springbook, Wheaton, and Wootton.

Computer Programming (AOIT Option 1) POS (4 credits required)

This program offers students opportunities to explore careers related to computer science and programming.  The sequence of four courses is designed to give a thorough background in all aspects of Computer Science. Computer course descriptions may be found in Computer Science Departmental Course Offering and NAF internship and research courses are described in the Programs of Study in Entrepreneurship and Business section.

Cisco Networking Academy POS (4 credits required)

The Cisco networking POS provides a comprehensive foundation of microcomputer and network technologies in preparation for international industry credentials.  Hands-on laboratory experiences train students as entry-level technicians in the field of IT, and for advanced studies in Engineering and IT in colleges, universities, and the military.  Dual enrollment and articulated college credits may be earned through successful completion of the program.
