IB Sports Exercise and Health Science courses prepare students to take the International Baccalaureate Sports Exercise and Health Science exam at the standard level. This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the science of physical performance. Course topics may include anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, psychology and nutrition and the measurement and evaluation of human performance. Through these topics, students gain mastery of physical science topics such as structure and properties of matter, chemical reactions, forces and motion, conservation of energy, energy transfer and energy in chemical processes. This course is approved for NGSS high school graduation credit
