0.5 credit per semesterIn this course, students will use the Social Studies Literacy Skills, taught and practiced in middle school social studies, with increasing complexity as they explore the history of the modern United States from the Gilded Age to the present. Throughout the course students will examine recurring themes, make connections to the present, and analyze how diverse populations of Americans, including African Americans, Americans with disabilities, Asian Americans, Latinx Americans, LGBTQ+ Americans, Native Americans, and women shaped and were impacted by events. This course is required for graduation.
