Students with an exceptionally high level of interest, ability, and preparation in piano will learn to create, perform, and respond to music in a variety of styles/ genres. Students will continue to develop advanced skills learned in HS Piano 3 and move on to highly advanced piano skills and techniques, including expanded study of music literacy, chord chart reading, and music theory concepts. Cultural, historical personal, and social context are studied as they relate to piano repertoire. Students will progress independently using effective practice habits. This course satisfies the fine arts graduation requirement and may be repeated unlimited times for credit.
