Students develop skills that will enable them to perform music at the Grade IV to VI level of difficulty. The emphasis will be on the study of literature composed originally for the concert band and wind ensemble during the 20th and 21st centuries. Additional experiences may include athletic bands, solo/chamber performance, or musical theatre opportunities. In addition to performing music, creating and responding activities are included. Public performances during and after school may be required to meet course objectives. This course may be repeated unlimited times for credit. Prerequisite: Concert Band A/B OR based on an audition, experience in previous ensembles and instrumentation needs, OR permission of instructor based on audition.
