Students participate in classroom, lab-based and internship experiences that prepare them for employment in both both clinical and administrative health care settings. Students acquire many healthcare skills including learning to administer medications, assist with minor procedures, obtain laboratory specimens, perform electrocardiograms, and provide patient education. Upon completion of this course students take the National Health Careers Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification exam.
