Human Growth and Development Through Adolescence is designed to introduce high school students to the theories of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development of school-age children. Students explore the impact on education for those children who have special challenges to growth and development. Opportunities for observation at all levels is provided to reinforce classroom instruction. This course is the first in the sequence of courses required for completion of the Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM) program. The TAM program prepares students for post-secondary education and careers in the field of education.
