This semester-long course includes instruction multiple activity units related to the concentrated physical education (CPE) topic. This course focuses on individual and dual sport categories. These sports may include badminton, tennis, pickleball, track & field, weight training, bowling, and other sports that provide for focus in one area at a time. Student input will be used to choose the individual and dual sports offered. Each course offers standards-based instruction in the areas of health- and skill-related fitness and develop a personal fitness plan directly related to the CPE activity selected. Students should consider taking Foundations of Personal Fitness and Sport (HPE2004A) prior to taking a CPE course. Students are encouraged to enroll in the Foundations of Personal Fitness and Sport course (HPE 2004A) prior to taking SPE courses.
