This specialty physical education (SPE) course will provide in-depth instruction in lacrosse. The course will provide opportunities to apply movement skills to advanced tactics and concepts of lacrosse with a small-sided game format in lacrosse. Students will be given leadership roles as an opportunity for growth in leadership skills and personal and social responsibility. As an extension of the Foundations of Personal Fitness and Sport course students will apply knowledge gained to create a personal fitness plan and practice plan using their personal data on skills- and health- related fitness concepts that would improve performance related to lacrosse. Students are encouraged to enroll in the Foundations of Personal Fitness and Sport course (HPE 2004A) prior to taking SPE courses.
