This specialty physical education (SPE) course will provide in-depth instruction in yoga/stretching. The main focus of the course will be to improve muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and flexibility. Prior to any training students will learn about safety and cleaning and disinfecting the instructional space. Emphasis will be placed on student's ability to plan for improvement after developing goals and a personal fitness plan. There will be less emphasis on game play or sport activities during this SPE course. Students are encouraged to enroll in the Foundations of Personal Fitness and Sport course (HPE 2004A) prior to taking SPE courses.
