Students will further their knowledge of the contemporary political, social and economic events of China, Korea, and Japan. The histories of these countries will be studied as a means to under stand why these countries act the way they do today, and to predict what the future will hold for this extremely important region of the world. This is not a lecture based class-students will be researching, presenting, discussing, debating, writing, and role playing the major issues facing East Asia.
