What does it mean to be an activist How can you impact change In this course, students will be introduced to the many facets of social justice work, historic and current, through the lens of artistic expression, political action, and grassroots leadership This course, Leadership, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (LENS), is an inquiry-based seminar in which students collaboratively and individually engage in cross-curricular conversations, research and action plan development Through participation in this course students will gain the leadership skills necessary to facilitate conversations and lead the work of the Walt Whitman High School One Whitman initiative
